Established in 1956, New York Toastmasters (NYTM) is a popular public speaking and leadership training organization that meets weekly every Monday evening. Our mission is to:

structured manual series, NYTM offers members opportunities to hone their public speaking and presentation skills in a lively, supportive environment.
LEADERSHIP
Using the Toastmasters International
leadership guides, NYTM offers members opportunities to serve in meeting roles,
as mentors, and as club officers, to
improve leadership skills in a dynamic community of peers.
FEEDBACK
Using the Toastmasters International meeting and competition protocols, NYTM offers members opportunities to learn to give and receive essential feedback in impromptu speaking, communication/ speech writing and to develop emotional intelligence.

PRESIDENT'S DISTINGUISHED CLUB
This is the highest level of recognition available in Toastmasters. The Distinguished Club Program is an annual program consisting of ten goals. Achieving nine of ten goals earns a club the President's Distinguished Club

Robert is a seasoned technology executive, most recently serving as AI Director at Meta where he helped lead the initial launch of the company’s AI foundational models to 100M+ users. Throughout his career, he has driven multiple "zero-to-one" product launches at both unicorn startups and Fortune 500 companies, often with multi-billion-dollar budgets and several thousand-person teams. Beyond his corporate leadership, he actively supports various startups as an advisor/investor and volunteers for organizations like Make-A-Wish.
In both his professional and personal endeavors, Robert has always held a strong belief that finding one's voice and using it to connect with others is among the most critical and transformative skills a person can develop for lifelong success.
Gavin Hone serves as the Vice President of Membership at New York Toastmasters, where he is dedicated to building a thriving community where members feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to grow. He believes that finding your voice is one of the most transformative skills a person can develop.
As a consultant, he brings a sharp eye for what motivates people. He is a firm believer that NYTM is a place where confidence is built and leaders are made.
Marion serves as the Club Treasurer. Originally from France and now based in New York City, she has built her career in product and strategy roles across finance and technology. Her professional background has given her a strong appreciation for detail and stewardship, which she brings to managing the club's finances.
Outside of work, Marion is a mother to a spirited young daughter and enjoys staying active through running, strength training, and Pilates. She also loves bringing people together and regularly hosts mahjong evenings with friends.
Toastmasters has played a meaningful role in Marion's growth as both a speaker and a leader. She is excited to give back as Treasurer and looks forward to supporting the club while connecting with fellow members.

Anna White
Anna White is an entrepreneur and co-founder of a mental health project focused on "Type C" personalities - helping them learn to set boundaries and prioritize wellbeing. Her former corporate life included 20+ years in finance, working for a range of firms in capital markets, private equity, equity research, and asset management.

Helen Hou
Helen serves as the Vice President of Public Relations. She works in ecommerce with a background in product delivery and is always curious to learn, explore new ideas, and take on new challenges.
Outside of Toastmasters, Helen loves traveling, dancing, and exploring fashion and new restaurants. She looks forward to promoting the club, celebrating members' achievements, and helping the community continue to grow throughout the year.

Natalia Bravo
Natalia serves as the club’s VP of Mentorship, where she coordinates the mentorship program to support the growth of both new and returning members. Originally from Colombia, she has seen firsthand how mentorship accelerates learning in any skill, and she’s driven to pay that forward, giving back to the club that shaped her own journey.
